Item Description
c. 1935-1936 for two sequences in 1937 animated feature involving clumsy dwarf who didn’t appear in final film. Both are in lead and color pencil w/some pencil captions. First consists of two sheets stapled together for overall size of 9-3/8x17.5” w/four scenes. Three dwarfs run and jump over hollow log, followed by Stubby. He misses and goes through log causing animals and birds to fly out and Stubby comes out w/rabbit and birds stuck in his beard. Second sheet is 9-3/8x12” w/eight scenes. Dwarfs are running home, jumping on rock in lake, and going on. Stubby misses the rock and tries again, but rock turns out to be turtle who swims away. Stubby jumps and goes in water “On His Fanny”. Sheets have lt. handling creases. Fine. Image areas Exc. Well drawn and funny examples.
