Item Description
c.1937. 11.25x14.25” cardboard sheet has 9.75x12.25” cel stapled in place at corners. Cel has 9x10.75” image area of heads of all seven dwarfs w/their names hand lettered in ink. Cardboard sheet has ink text on back “ Geo. Goepper Set No. 3.” George Goepper began as an in-betweener at Disney, working under Norm Ferguson in the 1930s followed by Eric Larson. He worked on "Snow White, Bambi, Lady and the Tramp", and "Sleeping Beauty" among others, and moved on to Hanna-Barbera in the early 1960s. Cel margin edges have lt. age rippling as stored, lower left corner of Doc’s hat has barely noticeable .25” paint flake. Will frame to Exc. appearance overall. A stunning piece of original art for one of Disney's greatest films.
