Item Description
3.5x5.5". Shows 14 members of the New Britain Connecticut Minor League Class B team which was nicknamed the "Perfectos." The highlight of this card is the inclusion of four legends of Cuban baseball, all are members of the Cuban HOF and three played in the Major Leagues. These are Armando Marsans, Rafael Almeida, Alfredo Cabrera and Luis Padron. All four players are featured in the highly desirable 1909 Cabanas card set (see items #1105-1113) but this historic item predates that issue. Reverse used w/1908 postmark. Lt. aging and trace of margin wear w/two small surface paper flakes to right corner tips. A must have for the Cuban baseball collector. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
