Item Description
First is 1" with glossy photographic paper without dot pattern showing his portrait. Set into a tin frame with thin brass pin on reverse plus reverse stamp "Made In Czechoslovakia." This manufacturing style pre-dates the use of celluloid buttons and the piece is c. 1893. Next is 7/8" celluloid with union bug on curl. Reads "Washington Party Come With Us." The "Washington Party" was a Pennsylvania used alternative name for The Progressive Party ticket of Roosevelt and Johnson in the 1912 Presidential election. A button with the same slogan but different illustration is listed as Hake #3334. Mint. Both are rare pieces.
