Item Description
Large 23.25x33" poster for Nirvana's first European tour in 1989, opening for fellow Sub Pop/Glitterhouse Records label mate Tad. The group began the tour, a double headliner w/Tad, at the Riverside venue in Newcastle upon Tyne in England on Oct. 23, 1989. This tour took place just a few months after the release of Nirvana's debut album "Bleach" in June, 1989. Poster features bw images of both bands (Nirvana photo is pre-Dave Grohl and includes Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dale Crover) w/small photo image of Tad album at lower right and "For Vegetarians Only" text towards bottom. Bottom has blank marquee w/"Sweatshop Promotions" text/cartoon. Poster has handling wear w/creases at corners and along margins. If framed, would display VF. Historic early Nirvana poster.
