Item Description
2.25x7.5" long (to tapered end) silk ribbon w/tassle at end. Ribbon advertises Paterson, NJ. based "Jacquard Designers And Card Cutters" Hand & McGuinness, who also made silk woven bookmarks, badges, etc. c. 1880s-1890s. Ribbon has wonderful image of a Bald Eagle sitting atop shield bearing company name w/American flag in bkg. Scattered lt. wear w/a few pinholes along top border, but still displays Exc. First example we've seen in our 47 years. A rare silk self-advertising ribbon/bookmark.
