Item Description
Reverse metal back has little silver flashing but no rust. The celluloid edge next to the back has about a half dozen tiny 1/16” cello splits plus one which is .25” and pulling away just a hair but not enough to create a bump on the rim edge when viewed from the front. Front of the piece has about a half dozen tiny near pinpoint size indents plus a couple of very light 1” hairline scratches but vast majority of these tiny defects are detectible only in reflected light. There is also a tiny bit of air spotting on the jacket of Kefauver. On the positive side the piece has absolutely no stain and is beautifully centered and with high gloss. Surrounding inscription is “Vote Straight Democratic/General Election 1956.” This is the first Stevenson jugate in Hake Book II designated as Hake #2001 and with 2004 guide value of $650.00. A modest opening on a rare jugate.
