Auction #209 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1144 in auction 209
Item Description
In 1891 delegates representing over 30,000 workmen formed the Pacific Coast Federation Of Labor at a San Francisco convention. Their resolutions favored government ownership and operation of railroads, telegraphs, and other 'Natural Monopolies' along with opposing foreign immigration for ten years. This .75" silvered metal lapel stud which has a threaded brass cap on the reverse depicts a factory building, stack of lumber, train with freight cars, and a ship with tall masts. Text on the outer edge reads "Local No 3 P.C.F. Of L./San Pedro Cal." Very tiniest loss of silver luster. NM displaying Mint. Only example we've seen.
