Item Description
The two larger buttons are 1.5" and the smaller 7/8". Larger buttons read "We're In Here For You/You're Out There For Us." Smaller button has a slight variation. The design on these three buttons dates back to the 1916-1917 northwestern states lumber strikes at the beginning of World War I. These three buttons were issued by IWW groups in the late 60s and early 70s with the first in day glo 'rocket red' color having a grease pencil date on the reverse "'71." The smaller button is from the same era. The 1.5" bw button has small curl text reading "Stover-Lamm Legal Defense Fund P.O. 4314 Berkeley, Calif 94704." Ed Stover and Michael Lamm were San Francisco radicals accused of bomb making. Only example we recall seeing with this curl text. All are NM displaying Mint.
