Item Description
Nice quality box w/sleeve contains 3.5x5x1.5" deep hinged-lid case which contains coin issued by the US Mint in 2007 to honor the First Spouses of the United States. Case holds uncirculated $10 gold coin within velvet-covered insert. Coin bears image of "Jefferson's Liberty" by Robert Scot on obverse and Jefferson's grave on reverse by Charles Vickers, w/text from his memorial stone. While this is the First Spouse series, Jefferson's wife had already passed away by the time he assumed the Presidency, hence this coin's obverse features a reproduction of the Draped Bust Half Cent minted in the early 1800s, the time of Jefferson's Presidency. Coins were minted at West Point and contain .9999 fine gold, .5 troy oz. Comes with US Mint COA. Mint as issued. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
