Item Description
Thin art board for March 28 has 5x17-7/8” India ink image area w/three panels. Surprised Mickey sees cake w/a single candle on kitchen table. He asks “Why Are You Saving That Piece Of Birthday Cake?” Minnie replies “In Case Of A Blackout!” as Mickey’s hat flies up. Art is signed “Walt Disney” in ink in panel three as done by long time Mickey Mouse daily strip artist Floyd Gottfredson. Complete w/Disney copyright sticker in panel one and King Features distribution sticker in panel two. Applied zip-a-tone dot pattern shading has usual age toning, otherwise Exc. Well drawn funny example w/both main characters.
