Five are dated 1934, three are dated 1935. All done as promotional art w/caricatures of individual performers on Montevideo Spanish language radio station “CX” w/various station numbers on smoking microphones w/faces. Art paper sheets range in size from 12x16” to 12.5x16.5”, all signed in ink “E. Smetana”. Mickey is full figure gesturing in different poses at bottom of each. Includes woman at piano who doesn’t want to be confused w/ Rosita Morena or Greta Garbo, serious looking man w/pompadour who doesn’t want to be confused w/John Barrymore, sports director wearing boxing glove and w/soccer ball, man holding flaming torch, man in barrel next to smoking radio tower, man in fancy clothes holding bell and scroll promoting aerial circus, man next to huge open straight razor, literary type w/ plumed hat holding huge pen in right hand and book in left hand. Trace of edge wear here and there. A few are attached to mat board on back at bottom, easily removable. Overall bright and Fine/VF. Extremely well done.
