Item Description
12.5x18.75x1-3/8" deep box has nice photo image of MLB pitcher who pitched primarily for the Philadelphia Phillies (1948–1961). He spent the latter part of his career w/the Baltimore Orioles (1962–1965), Houston Astros (1965–1966), and Chicago Cubs (1966). He was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1976. Produced by the Dexter Wayne Company, a smaller Philadelphia area company, not a major manufacturer of games. 1950s. Box lid has some color rubs to edges but remains tight and Fine overall. Contents include four wooden player pieces; 105 cards (w/Roberts's photo); insert tray gameboard (again w/Roberts's photo) w/fictitious players Windy Wilson, Skeeter Straton, Skinny Sileski, others; instruction sheet and separate spinner board w/die-cut baseball bat at center and Roberts's repeated photo. Scattered wear from use w/some aging to a few cards. Fine-VF overall. Rare and first we've offered.
