Item Description
8.25x8.75x6.5" deep box w/paper end label w/bw photo of Hoak in Brooklyn Dodgers uniform contains "G11" genuine cowhide Nokona baseball glove by Nocona Leather Goods Company. Hoak's MLB debut was on April 18, 1954 w/the Brooklyn Dodgers. Hoak stayed w/the Dodgers until 1955 when they won the World Series. He was an All Star in 1957 w/the Cincinnati Reds and won a second Worlds Series w/The Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960. He died in 1969 of a heart attack at the young age of 41. Box shows aging/wear but remains tight. Label has uneven bottom edge. Box has original cardboard insert and glassine packing paper. Fine overall. Glove has "Don Hoak Professional Model" silver text in glove's "FieldRite" pocket as well as Nokona Indian head logo. Glove has scattered age spotting and is a bit musty. VG overall. Box is rare.
