Item Description
Lot of four 10.5x13.5" magazines published by monthly Dell Publishing Co., Inc. Included are the first through fourth issues, printed Feb.-May, 1949, these issues pre-date the modern "Sports Illustrated" as we know it by several years. Covers feature basketball player Ralph Beard, Middleweight boxing champion Marcel Cerdan, Cleveland Indians player Lou Boudreau and baseball legend Joe DiMaggio. Issues have some scattered lt. wear w/pinch creases to spines and a few minor color rubs. VF overall.
