Poster was printed in Germany, ©1972 Edition Olympia. German text at bottom translates to "Olympic Games Munich 1972." The games took place Aug. 26 to Sept. 10, 1972, the sporting nature of which was largely overshadowed by the Munich Massacre in which 11 Israeli athletes and coaches, a West German police officer, and five Black September militants were killed.
