Item Description
Each is a 2.75" dia. metal device with clip-on reverse for fastening to the belt to measure distances walked. The earliest with blue rim was offered by General Mills Wheaties and Corn Kix in 1938. This comes with a cardboard folder explaining how to use the item and with interior text for a "Hike-O-Meter Treasure Hunt" game featuring a pirate theme. Light wear on the folder with the device itself NM. Second items is the 1939 version with lustrous aluminum rim. This has about 10 tiny oxidation dots and tiny area of oxidation on the reverse clip but overall Exc. This also comes with a 3-fold paper instruction folder from Wheaties. Also included for this is a generic paper envelope with cardboard protector on the interior. This has some edge tears and inked inscription "J. Armstrong Pedometer." Both instruction folders are quite scarce.
