Item Description
c. 1949-1950. First is unsigned carbon copy of 1949 contract between “Yukon” and composer Charles Miller of Hollywood paying him $ 100 for manuscript of a certain unpublished musical composition titled “Challenge Of The Yukon”. Next are pair of signed letters, each 7.25x10.5”, sent from Miller to producer George Trendle regarding theme song. One is type dated May 24, the other is handwritten, dated July 19. Next are pair of typed carbon copy responses from Trendle dated July 5 and July 14. Next are four vellum sheets, each 9.5x13” w/handwritten words and music score in ink for theme song copyright 1950 Trendle-Campbell.Enterprises. Last are nine printed or typewritten music score sheets w/some handwritten notes. A few light creases here and there, vellum sheets have bit of edge wear. Overall Fine/VF. A unique and historic archive of material. From the archives of Detroit’s WXYZ and obtained by former long time station employee Jiam DesJardin.
