Item Description
See Tom Oreb bio in #1894. All are c. early 1940s done in lead or color pencil w/captions on 10x12” sheets of animation paper. Image areas range from 5x7” to 8.5x11”. Scenes include: “Those Jitterbugin’ Flies On Your Knee”, self-caricature as “Byron Shelly and Keats”, “Count De Monte Cristo”, little girl resembling wife Bonnie on Santa’s knee, African-American jazz combo w/piano player singing love song, waitress resembling future wife Bonnie greeting “Mr. Hemmick” twins, waitress and two men talking and washing dishes, dark looking man resembling Simon Legree titled “La Parisianne”. A few light handling creases here and there, otherwise Fine/VF.
