Item Description
Both are c. 1970s. 9.5x11.25” wood frame holds sheet w/4-7/8x6.75” photo of Carl Barks happily working at easel on painting of Donald and nephews in sailboat titled “Fair Wind Off Bora Bora”, based on his Sept. 1949 “Walt Disney’s Comics And Stories” cover. Photo has ink inscription “ Best Wishes From Duckburg! Carl Barks”. Second item has 15.75x18” wood frame w/canvas bordered 7.5x9.5” opening. Desert scene has birds sitting on old barbed wire fence w/remains of old mining town in background and mountain peaks in distance. Lower left is boldly signed “Gare”. Painting is titled “ #79-7 Party Line” in pencil on reverse w/ Gare Barks copyright ink stamp. Both items are Exc. Great association pair for the gifted husband and wife artist team.
