Lot of four 10x18.5" sheets containing original pen and ink art for first eight pages of Golden Book "Gobots On Earth," published in 1984. The book was adapted by Robin Snyder and featured art by noted comic book artist and writer Steve Ditko, who is best known as the artist and co-creator, w/Stan Lee, of the Marvel Comics heroes Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Cover art was provided by Jeffrey Oh (see previous item #1811). First sheet features Gobots human allies Hunter, Nick and A.J. explaining to a committee the loss of their Space Shuttle. Next sheet features close-up portraits of Leader-1, Turbo, Scooter, Cy-Kill, Crasher and Cop-Tur. Rest of pages feature a mix of both humans and robots. Sheets have book text paste-overs and each has "Gobots On Earth" title handwritten at bottom. Sheets shows some scattered lt. aging but art areas are o/w clean and Exc. Great 1980s Ditko art, featuring characters not usually associated w/this legendary comic book artist.
