Item Description
1.5x2.25" Cuban card produced for the Aguilitas Cigarette brand and a follow up to the 1924-1925 series. The baseball cards are a subset featuring 37 players from the Cuban Professional League. This extensive 900 card set also featured movie and stage stars, boxers, soccer players and other subjects. Glossy photo front w/text below portrait "Base-Ball Jimenez (2.B)." The card back has the card number and an ad for Aguilitas (the baseball cards were skip numbered between 751 and 849). Image is bold and strong. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA. See his 1923-24 Billiken card pair item #985.
