Item Description
Lee Falk (1911-1999), was a writer best known as the creator of the popular comic strips "The Phantom" and "Mandrake The Magician." At the height of their popularity, these strips attracted over 100 million readers every day. Offered here is a 11x15.75" mat containing a print showing The Phantom wrestling tiger w/blank word balloon having blue ink "Creator Of The Phantom - Lee Falk - 1992" inscription. Print is evenly aged but o/w NM. Comes w/clipped 1962 "The Phantom" Sunday page that has been signed in blue ink at upper margin, w/Falk again adding "1992" date. Horizontal fold as newspaper was folded and clip is aged but clean and VF. Comes with Hake's COA.
