Item Description
Lee Falk (1911-1999), was a writer best known as the creator of the popular comic strips "The Phantom" and "Mandrake The Magician." At the height of their popularity, these strips attracted over 100 million readers every day. Offered here is a 10.75x15.75" mat containing a print showing Mandrake w/blank word balloon having black ink "Lee Falk - Creator Of Mandrake The Magician - 1992" inscription. Print is evenly aged but o/w NM. Comes w/clipped 1941 "Mandrake The Magician" Sunday page that has been signed in blue ink at upper margin, w/Falk adding "Creator Of Mandrake" and "1992" date. Scattered small tears along right margin but this does not affect signature. Clip is aged but clean and VF. Comes with Hake's COA.
