Item Description
28x42.25" canvas sign w/brass grommets at each corner. Printed by the Erie Litho & Ptg. Co. 1920s. Sign features great art of sedan trying to pass flatbed truck on hill, only to be hit by oncoming bus. Sign was issued in New York state as part of a "Street & Highway Safety Campaign" conducted by the local Commissioner of Motor Vehicles and the Gulf Refining Company. Sign has numerous creases from display, most noticeably along margin edges, which show some aging/dust soiling. Horizontal fold crease at middle of sign but still retains bright colors and displays Fine.
