Item Description
Large 38x60.5" original wooden frame w/inner wooden fame contains large painted galvanized steel sign for "Paige Sales & Service Entrance" for Paige & Hudson dealer Paul O. Henry & Son located in Lancaster, PA. Paige was a Detroit-based automobile company, selling luxury cars between 1908 and 1927. This sign dates to the end of that period, when Paige introduced their eight-cylinder model as noted by the "Sixes" and "Eights" text. Lettering was done in the same style as text in their magazine advertisements of the era. Sign maker's name at bottom center, though not quite legible due to condition. Sign has all over obvious and heavy paint wear in the form of flaking, though text remains legible for the most part. Nail heads that secured sign have oxidation. Good/VG.
