Item Description
Lot of four thin artboards, each measuring 13.75x20.5" w/12.75x19" India ink image area w/hand-lettered logo signed by artist/creator Stanley Link. Dates are Jan. 5, 19, March 9, 16, 1941. Storyline has Tim being kidnapped by Frankenstein-like monster Hugo and taken to Dr. Horror's laboratory where the evil doctor plans to switch Tim's youth for his old age and live forever. Tim meets young boy Billy and an old partner of the doctor in dungeon. Tim eventually escapes and doctor is about to perform his experiment when Hugo switches the tables and straps in the doctor. Tim frees Billy and old man and they escape as Hugo pulls switch and blows up the laboratory and dungeon. Each page is complete w/Chicago Tribune copyright strip. Artboards have lt. dust soiling/aging, image areas are o/w Fine/VF. Each comes w/matching printed page as published. Well drawn examples from a classic sequence. From the Don Maris Collection.
