6.75x23” thin art board has 5.5x22.25” India ink image area for Oct. 3 w/four panels. Art is titled “On With The Show!” in pencil in top margin. Storyline involves Abner lookalike criminal Gat Garson impersonating Abner and switching identities. First panel has Abner behind bars w/headline and Abner pleading “Ah Didn’t Murder Li’l Abner Yokum Mainly On Account O’ Thass Who Ah Is!” Next three panels have Garson using gun to get in to watch execution. Panel three has artist-creator “Al Capp” ink signature. Complete w/United Feature Syndicate copyright sticker in panel two. Trace of lt. dust soil and aging. Will frame to VF appearance.
