Item Description
9-1/8" tall glazed ceramic Irishman Brownie candlestick holder w/hole at top of hat to hold candle. Unmarked w/exception of incised number "2873-70" underneath base. c. 1890s. Nice detailing to shirt, candlestick holder shows Brownie w/hands in pockets. 1/8" flake off tip of one foot w/paint touch-up and 1/8" chip to front coat edge by buttons. One ear has tiny nick w/paint touch-up. 1/16" flake off eyebrow. Face and hat have some scattered pinpoint dark spots, but this is as produced as under glaze. Still displays VF.
