5-3/8x8-3/8" stiff art paper has intricate art in ink, pencil, and watercolor w/winged, skull-face demon pointing at bound blonde in skimpy outfit as bats fly through harbor cave in moonlight. All text is hand-lettered, including blood dripping from title. Signed "L.B. Cole" at bottom left. Upper left has "No. 10 - 1980" text, but final design was changed slightly to have girl's head facing more to right and color changed on her outfit and flying bats as used for cover on #11 in 1980. Art is Exc. Comes w/NM cover proof and Exc. softcover copy of "The Comic Book Price Guide" signed in ink on title page by Bob Overstreet. L.B. Cole (1918–1995) worked in comics in the Golden Age and eventually became an editor and publisher in the late 1940s before moving on to "Classics Illustrated." This particular cover for Overstreet was his first in many years and brought him new appreciation. Historic, and nicest L.B. Cole original we've ever seen. From the Robert M.
