Item Description
2.75" dia. and 1/8" thick complete with underside small loop plus bracket intended to enable mirror to prop up for use. However, a tiny solder joint that held a brass tab to the thin rim edge has popped free. Still, these are quite scarce and rare with the loop and bracket hardware still present. Also see next item. Known as "Camp Mirrors" they were generally used by military men as shaving mirrors. Made in France with raised letters "B.R." on the circle below Taylor's profile image. Inscription encircling the image is better struck over the "Gen. Z. Taylor President" portion with the "Of The United States" weakly struck but still discernible in strong light. Overall VF. Julie Powell Collection.
