Item Description
First is 7" tall with additional .5" of fabric folded under at the top. Done in very dark purple with silver lettering "Doorkeeper/Republican National Convention St. Louis, 1896." Pair of straight pin holes at the top are near invisible. Rare and Exc. Second is 8.5" tall with beautiful celluloid on brass hanger bar featuring an eagle, crossed flags, sunburst and clouds. This carries tiny name of maker W&H. Suspended is short cream colored ribbon holding 1.75" celluloid with a tin rim and second celluloid with choice multicolor crossed American flags on the reverse. A little even tone on the outer edges of the McKinley side but no spotting. Silver lettering below "McKinley Club Of Ohio./St. Louis, Missouri, 1896." Reverse has large cardboard tag by maker W&H. Small bit of surface paper on the reverse of the inscription "McKinley Club" as made and not causing any visual problems as the obverse displays NM. Rare limited edition pieces from the Sen. Charles Dick Collection.
