Auction #210 - Part II
Item numbers 1271 through 3109 in auction 210
Item Description
10.5x15.75" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink art by comic book artist Don Newton. Offered here is the original art for page 62 of "World's Finest" #262, published by DC Comics in May 1980. "The Captain Marvel Of 7,000 B.C." story was written by E. Nelson Bridwell w/interior art by Newton and inks by Dave Hunt. Five-panel page shows Captain Marvel and Marvel hero (in reality the Wizard Shazam as a young boy) w/Captain Marvel visiting the Rock of Eternity. Captain Marvel is pictured in five panels, and the Wizard Shazam in two. Inked/penciled editorial notations at top and bottom margins. Strip of tape staining at bottom right margin, not affecting art/text in any way. Top left corner has .75" corner clip, but this does not affect art/text. Scattered handling wear/aging w/some white correctional fluid touch-ups, but if matted and framed, art would display VF. From the collection of comic book inker Dave Hunt.
