Item Description
10.5x15-5/8" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink art by comic book artist Don Newton (1934-1984), best known for his work on The Phantom, Aquaman, and Batman. Newton also drew several Captain Marvel and Marvel Family stories, and was a fan of the character, having studied under Captain Marvel co-creator C.C. Beck. Offered here is the original art for page 62 of "World's Finest" #260, published by DC Comics in Jan. 1980. "There Goes The Neighborhood" story was written by E. Nelson Bridwell
w/interior art by Newton and inks by Dave Hunt. Four-panel page shows crowd being rescued from natural disaster by centaur and satyr as well as Captain Marvel. Inked editorial notations at top margin. Strip of tape staining at top and bottom center margins, not affecting art/text in any way. Scattered handling wear/aging w/some white correctional fluid touch-ups, but if matted and framed, art would display VF. From the collection of comic book inker Dave Hunt.
