Item Description
First is 4" tall with embossed brass eagle at top held by pair of small threads to paper with ribbon design. Reverse of eagle has long stickpin. Red color on the paper has bled but otherwise quite clean. Has his portrait above with his name "McKinley" running vertically. Very attractive even with the color bleed. Only the second we've seen. Second is 2" dia. thin tin disk with blank tin reverse and front done in gorgeous color showing McKinley below slogan "Vote For McKinley & Protection." The very thin rim edge is missing a hairline sliver .5" long but rim is still fully intact. Couple of small scattered dots of color loss and pair of small tan age marks at lower right. Rim edge has very tiny text with a couple of paint dots missing but appearing to read "A. Fischer Mfg. Co. Hamilton. O." Our example in auction #206 had text about Protection on the reverse but this reverse never had text. It still has some silver luster highlights. Two scarce pieces from the Sen. Charles Dick Collection.
