Item Description
9" tall ribbon badge with large cello and brass "Press" hanger at the top. Gold lettering below "Democratic National Convention/Chicago, July 7, 1896." At center four rivets hold thick die-cut piece of cardboard with text in slightly faded gold "Entrance/Section A./This Ticket Must Be/Kept In Sight. It/Entitles The Holder/To/Press Table Seat No. (hand inked numeral 49)/In Section (hand inked "A")/with signature in ink below of the "Sec'y." Light all over dust soil but no significant damage. First National Convention ribbon we've seen with a specific seat assignment. Rare and unique. Also see #195.
