Item Description
30.5x41 poster w/image by Clyde Forsythe depicting US soldier standing on battlefield holding his rifle and three German helmets. The soldier has a bloody bandage visible under his doughboy helmet. "And They Thought We Couldn't Fight" text at top right. Additional text at bottom reads "Invest In The Victory Liberty Loan." Printed by Ketterlinus of Phildelphia, PA. in 1918. Folded as issued, poster has margin aging/wear w/some .25" to .5" tears at margins, .75" tear at top fold crease intersection and 1" and 2" tears at top center. VG as is but poster would benefit from linen-mounting.
