Item Description
7.5" tall owl sits atop a log w/branch running along left side of its body. At the back of this branch is where a coin rests and on the back of the bank a lever that when pressed causes the owl to turn his head to the left, causing the coin to fall into the bank. Missing original trap on underside (replaced w/rubber trap) which has patent date of 1888. J.E. Stevens Co. Glass eyes are replacements but correct style for this bank. Bank shows moderate wear to paint, which has darkened w/age. About 90% original paint remains. Mechanical actions work well.
