Item Description
First is 1.5" "Reluctantly For HHH" signifying dissatisfaction that Gene McCarthy did not get the 1968 nomination. This piece is Exc. and displays Mint. Second is 1.75" with "HHH" initials top and bottom with large names at center "Muskie/McCarthy." We have just learned the "McCarthy" reference is likely to Richard D. (Max) McCarty, a Congressman from the Buffalo, NY area.  No maker name but a New York union bug on the curl. Tiny traces of air in reflected light but almost no surface wear. NM displaying Mint. Julie Powell Collection.
