Item Description
2-1/8" tall heavy triangular brass luster metal with a reverse consisting of a loop at the top so it can be used as a pendant plus a vertical pin below if that is how the wearer chooses to display it. Below the pin is the text "American Jewish Congress/©HRB Phila. 1971." Front of the piece has recessed Star of David accented in deep metallic blue with rising flames accented in slightly metallic red all above the slogan, in recessed letters, "Silent No More." When this piece was issued in 1971 the American Jewish Congress adopted this as the official emblem in support of Soviet Jewry. Rabbi Kahane, founder of the Jewish Defense League (see previous item) influenced this group to act more forcefully on behalf of Soviet Jews. Essentially Mint and from the Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
