Item Description
Although not identified as such this design was very likely produced for and used by the Jewish Defense League. This same slogan was used by them on a 2.25" button picturing a pair of Israeli flags. Each of these buttons is the one selected by New York collector Marshall Levin to make his origin notations in ink on the metal back. On the one in full color he wrote "NYC/4/78/250" (meaning only 250 were produced). On the other example, without the pink and red coloration, he wrote "April/1978/Printing Error." Neither button carries any other text as to the issuer or maker. While there were a couple of duplicates of the correctly printed button in the Levin Collection these are the only two that carry his master notations and both are in Mint condition. Comes with Hake's COA.
