12" long tin litho wind-up toy w/built-in key. c. 1935. Text reads "Flash Gordon - ©King Features Syndicate - Rocket Fighter." This is version w/"5" text on side fins. Toy works, traveling forward and sparking as a pinging sound is heard. Complete w/original tail fin. Some aging w/scattered small paint nicks. Tiny paint flake on each side of Flash Gordon pilot head. Area of wear by key from key rubbing against side of toy. Glossy and Fine. Classic Flash Gordon toy.
