Complete set of four cast metal ships, 4.5" to 5" long, all but one ("Venus Duo-Destroyer") in individual illustrated cardboard box. 1937. Set consists of #1031 Battle Cruiser, #1032 Destroyer, #1033 Attack Ship and USN Los Angeles Zep (not marked Buck Rogers but part of this set and was issued in the large boxed set consisting of these ships plus figures of Buck and Wilma). Ships are missing original strings which were generic and easily replaceable. Set is o/w in choice condition - both boxes and ships. Boxes have lt. even aging and are o/w Exc./NM w/unused contents NM/Mint as issued. Comes w/6x10.5x3" deep carton w/inked stamp on end noting "1 Doz. No. 4205 - Tootsietoy - Buck Rogers Asst." Box is Exc. and rarely seen. Similar set sold last auction for $3,600.00.
