Original illustrated cardboard box contains 4-7/8" long by 4.25" tall toy depicting Mickey Mouse on his hands and knees. Mickey's head, hands and lower legs/shoes are celluloid while his body is velvet-covered and toy is complete w/original cloth cord tail. Made in Japan and distributed by Paradise in the 1930s. Toy has small label on underside which reads "By Permission Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse Ltd." This text matches that of box, which has been stabilized/restored by Brian Anthony of Anthony Restorations. No pieces of the box were missing and box was not lined prior to restoration. Box surface has some scattered areas of tape staining but still displays Fine. Box is very rare, only a few examples are known, this likely being among the best of them. Toy comes w/key and works well, Mickey crawls as his arms and legs move. Pants have faded w/age and elastic cord on pants cuff is exposed, though this cannot be seen when toy is displayed as intended. Displays Exc./NM.
