Item Description
Each piece is 2" tall made of heavy embossed brass and each with a rectangular slide off secret compartment on the back which also holds the bar pin. Other than both being Lone Ranger premiums, that is where the similarities end. The first is from 1949 and the high serial number on the piece gives an idea of its popularity. This example is "1707863." Light even loss of original luster but vast majority does still remain. Next is its companion piece, probably offered a year or two later. The badge shows an Indian feather head dress and the serial number on this is the incredibly low number of "22." There is paperwork which documents this as a Lone Ranger item shown on page 640 of Hake's Pop Culture guide. The headline on that paper reads "Now! Here's How To Organize A Lone Ranger Club And Become A Deputy Chief!" This piece is in gorgeous Mint condition. A badge of the same design was also issued by Kellogg's Rice Krispies as the "Official Tim McCoy Badge." Rare in all its forms. Likely the lowest serial number we've ever seen on any premium. The NM guide value in the Hake guide on this piece alone is $700.00.
