Item Description
Frame contains large 20x29-7/8" original printing stiff glossy paper poster by Tea Lautrec. For series of three concerts held Sept. 14-16, 1978 at the Sound & Light Theatre in Gizeh, Egypt. Special guest was Hamza Eldin. Superb art by Alton Kelley of a winged mask w/snakes and roses set against pyramid in bkg. Text below is in English inside the box at left, box at right has same text in Arabic. This image was later used again for a canceled show at the Rainbow Theater in London and yet again for the remainder of the 1978 European Tour. Of the three, the original Egypt poster is by far the rarest and most sought after and is easily identified by the Arabic text box. Poster has all over noticeable fading but still displays nicely as framed. VG overall. From the collection of John Scher, legendary concert promoter, producer and manager and comes with COA signed by him.
