Item Description
Original 22x28" thin cardboard poster by Hatch Show Print of Nashville, TN. Poster for 1960s Nashville booking showcase put on by Aud-Lee Attractions as noted at bottom w/unused marquee area. Aud-Lee Attractions rented rooms in a hotel, w/each rooming featuring a different act or star. This allowed concert booking agents to meet w/and observe the artists to decide if they wanted to book them for concerts. Ths poster was for room (as noted by "Room" designation at bottom) headlined by Johnny Cash, and The Man in Black has large full body bw photo image w/guitar at right. Cash was featured along w/his backing band The Tennessee Three and The Statler Brothers, Johnny Cash's future wife, June Carter & The Carter Family as well as Carl Perkins. June Carter, The Carter Family and Perkins all have small bw photo images on poster by their names. Poster shows moderate wear w/1x1.75" and 2x2" areas of moisture staining to "Cash" name at top of poster, right and bottom left corners off and margin wear/age tanning. Good/VG overall.
