3.25x4" cardboard mount w/stamped "Flash Gordon" name and "Consolidated Film Industries, Inc." of Fort Lee, NJ. company name holding original release glass slide for "13 Chapters Of Strange World Adventures" of the 1936 Universal ("Carl Laemmle Presents") serial starring Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon and Jean Rogers as Dale Arden. The serial was the first screen adventure for the comic-strip character Flash Gordon, and tells the story of his first visit to the planet Mongo and his encounter w/the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless, portrayed by Charles B. Middleton. Slide has great image of Crabbe as Flash and Rogers as Dale w/additional image of Flash w/sword and bkg. scenes showing battles, much more detailed than most slides of this type. Blank marquee area at bottom. Reverse of slide has .5" hairline scratch. VF.
