30x40" poster for the original 1976 release of the classic horror film based on the 1974 novel of the same name by Stephen King. The film was directed by Brian De Palma and starred Sissy Spacek, John Travolta and Piper Laurie. These 30x40" size posters mostly feature the same artwork as the more typical 27x41" one-sheet posters, but these posters are printed on more durable cardstock material. These posters were printed in smaller quantities than other advertising items of other sizes. Poster features stunning images of Sissy Spacek as Carrie, w/one showing her smiling having just been crowned prom queen and the other showing her terrifying stare after having pig's blood dumped on her. Poster has been rolled and shows some scattered creasing. Margins show wear w/some scattered creases and small tear at bottom center. These could be easily matted out for an Exc. display. Poster comes w/three 8x10" mini lobby cards (one of which features the shock ending), four 8x10" glossy bw stills and 6x8.5" herald which features scene montage from the film and stars on back. All are for the original release and Exc. overall.
