Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 6.5" long (to end on tow crane) painted tin w/rubber wheels "Breakdown Truck" tow-truck by Tri-Ang Minic Division of "Lines Bros. Ltd. London." 1950. "Tri-Ang - Made In England" decals on sides of truck bed. One decal has tiny 1/16" flake off and truck bed paint has some spider-webbing, but o/w Exc. and working. An interesting feature is the presence of two separate wind-up mechanisms- one for forward motion and the other for raising and lowering the tow rope. Replaced key. Box end flap reads "Breakdown Lorry." End flap and one inner flap loose but included other inner flap is missing. Box has scattered dust soiling and edge wear w/creasing to side panels. VG overall. Complete w/original Minic catalog folder.
